Each island has its most special rock and above it, an incredible hotel. That is the case of Eden Rock in St. Barth and of Malliouhana, in Anguilla, one of the first hotels of the island, built in 1984. Since then it has gained many fans that annually come back, except from 2011 to 2014 when they closed the hotel for renovation.
To transform the old establishment in a new hotel they invested some good millions, but they managed to keep its soul alive. The reopening exceeded all the expectations: a fancy à la Beverly Hills decoration that quickly became the island’s postcard.
São 44 suítes preciosas que mantém o estilo chic do hotel, no qual o azul calmo se mistura com o amarelo suave do Malliouhana e juntos transbordam delicadeza. Atenção para a cortina do closet que é um charme e para cama de balanço do terraço. Amamos! Nossas categorias preferidas:
Super spacious with a king’s worthy bed!
Perfect for a couple with kids – two bedrooms and a graceful small room.
Specially developed for the Auberge Resorts, using natural and fresh ingredients. The Malliouhana line presents a lemongrass and neroli combination, balanced with mimosa and vetiver scents.
The hotel’s restaurant is set right on top of the rock, allowing a gorgeous Meads Bay view. The sunset is divine. For lunch, the lobster salad and a grilled fish taco are delicious. Dinner asks for an octopus salad, followed by the homemade pasta that is a must-try. The wine menu will not leave you wanting more. Tania and John, who command the hotel do not sin at all!
Start the day with a yoga class. After breakfast, dive in the first pool that you might have already seen in Instagram next to the yellow umbrella. Relax and get some tan. As the morning comes to an end, rest under one of the white and black striped huts that surrounds the second pool. For siesta, there is nothing better than a massage that goes with a banana-rum hair treatment. In the afternoon, walk a few steps down for a dive in the sea.
In the late years, Meads Bay has become the rich and famous’ beach of choice, where they anchor their big yachts and enjoy the delicious restaurants of the area, such as the Blanchards, the Jacala (Martha Stewart’s Caribbean favorite) and the Straw Hat.
